Description

Founding DevSecOps Engineer We’re a fast-growing deeptech startup looking for a Founding DevSecOps Engineer to build our DevSecOps function from the ground up. The scope is massive, the consequences are huge in this environment, and you’ll be building the platform that cannot afford to fail. This is a critical early hire with genuine ownership over how we build, secure and scale our engineering infrastructure. You won’t be coming in to maintain an existing DevOps setup — you’ll help define the architecture, tooling and security practices that will underpin the company as we grow. What you'll work with Kubernetes and containerised infrastructureAWS and cloud-native environmentsTerraform / Infrastructure as CodeCI/CD and GitOpsPython, Go or BashGitLab and internal developer toolingPrometheus, OpenTelemetry or ELKPolicy-as-code and automated security controlsSecure software development and deployment practicesWhat we're looking for We’re particularly interested in engineers who have security-focused infrastructure experience, rather than purely traditional DevOps backgrounds. You might have experience with: Secure by DesignNISTSOC 2 / ISO 27001 / Cyber EssentialsCloud securitySecurity-focused CI/CDKubernetes securityPolicy-as-codeCompliance automationBuilding security into the software development lifecycleYou don't need to tick every box. We’re looking for someone technically strong, hands-on and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy. Why join us? This is an opportunity to join early and build something that doesn't exist yet. You’ll have significant influence over our technical direction, work closely with the wider engineering team and have the opportunity to define how DevSecOps operates across the business. If you want to build infrastructure where security, resilience and reliability genuinely matter, rather than simply keeping the lights on, this is the kind of role where you can have a huge impact.
