About The Role
The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly skilled full-stack web developer with a focus on secure, scalable, and responsive applications tailored for the U.S.
Federal Government, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
This position involves designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that meet stringent security standards while providing exceptional user experiences.
The role requires collaboration with UX analysts, testers, and project managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions on time and within scope.
The candidate will participate in strategic technology decisions, contribute to the development of reusable components, and stay abreast of emerging trends such as AI-assisted development.
This position offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly support national security and government operations, with locations in Tacoma, WA; Aurora, CO; San Antonio, TX; and Falls Church, VA.
Remote work may be considered in specific cases with approval.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in web and mobile application development and deployment.Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Current active IAT II certification with related web development Computing Environment (CE) certifications to meet DoD 8570 and DoD 8140.03 requirements.U.S.
Citizenship is mandatory.Experience working within Military Health environments is a plus.Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.Proficiency in backend development using ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript.Experience with Sitecore CMS and best practices for secure DoD web environments.Knowledge of SQL, database design, schema development, and backend logic.Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor development teams and collaborate with stakeholders.Experience with agile methodologies, project planning, estimation, and tracking tools like Jira.Familiarity with MVC5 framework, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), and mobile application development is a plus.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
Perform full-stack secure web development, including designing front-end user interfaces, implementing business logic, and managing data layers.Partner with UX analysts to create intuitive and effective end-user experiences.Collaborate with testers and QA analysts to ensure products meet quality standards and are fit for purpose.Participate in strategic decision-making regarding technology selection, software definition, and implementation processes.Execute software development projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards, while facilitating clear communication across team members and stakeholders.Estimate, prioritize, and manage development tasks using Jira, with guidance from architects and managers.Monitor emerging technology trends such as AI-assisted development to incorporate innovative solutions.Create web applications and components from requirements through design, development, testing, and deployment.Design and implement reusable components to accelerate application development and maintenance.Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices for DoD environments.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues efficiently to minimize downtime.Lead or mentor development team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
