AWS Developer

Roles and RESPONSIBILITIES · Engineers should be comfortable leading major incident investigations, providing on-call support, and managing projects with junior colleagues. · Work with App Teams to deploy their application to AWS · Develop in Python and automate solutions · Write Terraform scripts where required · Upgrade existing and develop new security controls · Compliance dashboard enhancements · Provide 24/7 global support and coverage (rotational) · The role is a balance of development and support, and engineers will be given autonomy for more creative work SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED · Required technologies: Python, AWS Services, CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git, Ansible · Optional technologies: Terraform · Broad experience working across many AWS services. You must believe that security is a fundamental aspect of delivering solutions and know what it takes to do so in an AWS context. · Practical understanding of DevOps practises and Agile working techniques. You build it, you own it, you support it mentality. · Demonstrable enterprise infrastructure delivery success stories. · Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows operating systems. · Proficient experience with CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc… · Nice-to-haves include: Good non-functional testing experience; Understanding of risk management and ensuring compliance against relevant regulatory processes; Experience working in a highly regulated industry
