Description

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer, Passport & Commerce, Android to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will focus on building and refining Android experiences that support a newly formed commerce-related product area within a large-scale consumer app. You will partner closely with product, design, backend, and cross-platform engineering teams to deliver polished features from concept through launch. The work will emphasize modern Android architecture, code quality, performance, and thoughtful execution in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment. You will also contribute to best practices within the mobile team while learning from senior engineers and helping shape a cohesive technical approach. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $162,000 – $186,000 annually Responsibilities Design and build Android features using modern UI and state architecture Collaborate with product and design to create polished Android experiences Work with backend and other platform engineers to ensure consistency Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews Learn from senior engineers and contribute to best practices Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance issues Own well-scoped features from technical design through launch Qualifications 3+ years of professional Android engineering experience in a large-scale consumer app Proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android architecture, including Jetpack Compose and MVI/MVVM Experience integrating APIs with backend and cross-platform teams Proven track record of delivering features from design to launch Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to navigate ambiguity in a newly formed team Solid understanding of mobile app performance and CI practices Benefits Remote work eligibility with occasional office attendance Potential for bonuses and equity Employee travel credits Access to a supportive team environment Opportunities for professional growth and learning Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
