About the role The Public Transport Authority is seeking a motivated and skilled Track Engineer to join our Network & Infrastructure division. Reporting to the Principal Track Engineer, you will undertake engineering and asset management activities that support the maintenance, modification and upgrade of track assets across the PTA rail network. In this role, you will work closely with maintenance, condition monitoring and project teams to ensure track infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards of safety, quality and operational performance. You will contribute to asset management activities and support the development of technical standards and specifications. You will also play a key role in the development of track branch asset management plans, asset management improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations, standards and PTA requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional seeking exposure to both technical and asset management focused work within a large and complex transport environment. About You To excel in this role, you should possess: A recognised Engineering Degree that satisfies the requirements for professional membership with Engineers Australia.Demonstrated experience in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of track infrastructure and associated civil assets.Sound knowledge of standards and practices relating to the construction and maintenance of rail track infrastructure.Strong analytical, problem-solving and engineering judgement skills, with the ability to deliver practical solutions.Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across a range of internal and external groups.Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting project deadlines and business objectives.
