DevOps Engineer
You'll build and run the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and observability our product teams ship on.
You work independently on well-scoped projects and get senior guidance on larger architecture decisions.
Role Description
Design, provision and maintain cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform or the cloud's native IaC tool)Build and improve CI/CD pipelines so teams can ship safely several times a dayOperate production Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE or AKS): deployments, upgrades, autoscaling and troubleshootingSet up and own monitoring, logging, alerting and dashboards; tune alerts so they are actionableTake part in the on-call rotation, handle incidents and write clear post-incident reviewsApply security basics: least-privilege IAM, secrets management, network segmentation, patchingTrack and reduce cloud spend with tagging, rightsizing and cost reportsAutomate repetitive operational work with scripts and toolingWrite runbooks and docs, and help developers use the platform well
Qualifications
Must have:
Deep expertise in one cloud provider: AWS, GCP or Azure
You have run production workloads on it, not only earned certifications.
In that cloud you should be comfortable with:
Compute, networking (VPC/VNet, subnets, load balancers, DNS) and IAMManaged databases, object storage and message queuesIts managed Kubernetes service (EKS, GKE or AKS)The cloud's monitoring and logging toolsFluent English communication, spoken and written
Strong Kubernetes experience
Hands-on experience running production workloads on Kubernetes, including:
Core objects: Deployments, StatefulSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Jobs, CronJobsPackaging and releases with Helm or KustomizeResource requests and limits, HPA, probes and rolling updatesRBAC, namespaces and network policiesDebugging pods, nodes and networking with kubectl, logs and eventsCluster upgrades and node pool management
Core DevOps Skills
Infrastructure as code, ideally TerraformDocker and container image best practices (small, secure, reproducible builds)Building CI/CD pipelines in at least one tool (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar)GitOps deployments with tools such as Argo CD or FluxObservability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, LokiLinux administration and scripting in Bash plus Python or GoGit workflows and code reviewSolid troubleshooting across network, OS, container and application layersKubernetes debugging: Services (selectors, endpoints, ports, DNS), Jobs and CronJobs (failed runs, schedules, backoff limits, concurrency), and pods stuck in Pending, CrashLoopBackOff or ImagePullBackOffPipeline debugging: failed builds and deploys, flaky tests, caching, runner issues, and missing secrets or permissions
