The Role
We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to set the technical direction for data visualization at Omni.
You'll draw on your data viz experience to shape how customers see and interact with their data, working closely with our Product Manager, who also comes from a data viz background, and the engineers currently building in this area.
You'll also design and build the visualization components and data pipelines behind that work.
Responsibilities
Set technical direction and North Star for Omni's data visualization capabilitiesPartner with the Product Manager and engineering team to translate viz strategy into shipped featuresBring industry best practices and experience to raise the bar on visualization quality and performanceDesign and build front-end visualization components and the underlying data pipelines that power themMentor and technically guide engineers already working on the visualization work streamMove quickly and ship iteratively, refining based on customer feedbackUse AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) to maximize velocity and focus on the highest-leverage technical work
About You
5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years operating at a senior levelDeep, demonstrable experience in data visualization, ideally with industry recognition or a strong portfolio of shipped visualization workStrong proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScriptExperience with data or business intelligence tools or applications (e.g., SQL, Looker, Tableau, Mode, Amplitude, Google Analytics)Demonstrated ability to set technical vision and influence a team without requiring formal authorityProficiency with AI coding tools and workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor)
