Senior Test Automation Engineer

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Typescript and Playwright WHAT YOU WILL DO: Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch or extend existing ones.Actively test web and mobile applications, APIs, and distributed microservices using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Postman, RestAssured, and other modern testing frameworks.Own test quality for services, not just test execution.Define and uphold test quality standards, ensuring consistency and confidence in releases.Write high-quality, maintainable integration and end-to-end tests following production engineering standards.Build reusable test utilities, mocks, and simulators.Contribute to and evolve the overall test strategy for one or more products or services.Partner with Engineers, Product Managers, and Delivery Leads to embed quality thinking from day one, rather than treating testing as an afterthought.Design and oversee test strategies combining automation, exploratory testing, and regression coverage.Drive the implementation and evolution of automated testing frameworks and ensure their integration into CI/CD pipelines.Own the structure and health of test suites and regression packs, keeping them lean, relevant, and valuable.Perform and organize performance testing using tools such as K6 and JMeter.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cross-squad functionality and integrations are properly tested.Participate throughout the testing lifecycle, including issue investigation, test creation, manual QA support, and change sign-off.Investigate defects and production issues and ensure fixes are validated through automated tests. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: 4+ years of experience in Test Automation.Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and API testing solutions, rather than simply executing tests.Confident writing automated tests in TypeScript.Hands-on experience with test automation using Appium, including designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests for mobile applications.Strong expertise in designing and executing end-to-end test strategies aligned with Agile delivery.Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated and API tests are integrated into delivery workflows.Proven experience embedding quality early in the SDLC by working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Principal Engineers, and Delivery Managers.Experience working in Agile continuous delivery teams, including daily collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate, prioritize, and resolve defects based on reproducibility, business impact, and release scope.
