Salesforce Developer (Contract) Program: State Government Workforce and Public Services Modernization Client: Global technology and consulting firm delivering for a large West Coast state government agency (names shared with shortlisted candidates) Location: 100% Remote (must reside and work in the United States) Engagement: Long-term contract Employment Type: W2 or Corp-to-Corp (C2C) Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and H-1B candidates are welcome to apply We are hiring a Salesforce Developer for a statewide modernization program that is moving public-facing services onto Salesforce. The program delivers a common customer portal, a unified intake process, and integrations with partner agency systems so residents can find and apply for services in one place. You will join an established systems integrator delivery team and build features across the portal, case management, and integration layers through multiple program milestones. What You Will Do Build and enhance resident-facing portal features on Experience Cloud, including registration, profile management, applications, and document upload.Develop common intake and case management functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows.Build and support integrations between Salesforce and partner agency systems using REST and SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware.Configure and extend OmniStudio components (OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors) where the solution uses them.Apply the Salesforce security and sharing model to protect resident personal information and meet state privacy and security requirements.Build accessible user interfaces that meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards for public-facing government services.Write unit tests, take part in code reviews, and deploy through the program's CI/CD pipeline across multiple environments.Work with architects, business analysts, and testers in sprint ceremonies, defect triage, and milestone releases.Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and post go-live stabilization.Pick up work in later program phases quickly and deliver with minimal ramp-up time.Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.Strong experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and Flows.Hands-on Experience Cloud (Community) development for external users.Experience building Salesforce integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.Solid understanding of Salesforce security, sharing, and handling of personally identifiable information.Experience with Git and a Salesforce DevOps toolset such as Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce DX.Experience on Agile delivery teams in a large, multi-vendor program.Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.Ability to pass the client's background check.Preferred Qualifications Prior state or local government Salesforce program experience, especially workforce, labor, health and human services, or benefits programs.OmniStudio or Salesforce Public Sector Solutions experience.Salesforce Platform Developer II or OmniStudio Developer certification.Experience with MuleSoft or another enterprise integration platform.Experience with accessibility testing tools and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.Prior experience working with a large systems integrator on a fixed-milestone government contract.Engagement Details Fully remote within the United States.
