Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 3 support for complex infrastructure incidents and service restoration activities.Perform advanced troubleshooting, problem management, root cause analysis, and permanent remediation.Support and administer:Physical and virtual server environmentsEnterprise storage platformsBackup and recovery solutionsVirtualisation technologies and hypervisorsWindows and Linux operating systemsDatabase platforms and supporting infrastructureIdentity and access management servicesCertificate management platformsInfrastructure automation and orchestration toolsMonitoring, event management and logging solutionsPerform patching, upgrades, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation.Support lifecycle management activities including upgrades, migrations and platform refreshes.Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, standards and configuration records.Work collaboratively with vendors, project teams, and operational stakeholders.Identify and implement automation opportunities and continual service improvements.Participate in a 24x7 on-call roster supporting Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents.
Skills & Experience
5+ years' experience in a senior Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer role.Strong technical expertise across:VMware, Hyper-V or equivalent virtualisation technologiesEnterprise server platformsStorage and backup technologiesWindows and Linux administrationIdentity services and certificate managementMonitoring and infrastructure management toolsAutomation and scripting technologiesExperience within complex enterprise or data centre environments.Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and root cause analysis capabilities.Experience working within ITIL-aligned operational support environments.Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, and infrastructure security best practices.Relevant certifications such as VCP, MCSE, RHCE, Microsoft Azure, AWS or equivalent are highly regarded.
