Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Platform Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake and Azure cloud services, with a solid understanding of data architecture, RBAC, security, and fine-grained access control.
This role will be responsible for enabling secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions across advanced analytics platforms.
Design & Integration:
Collaborate with solution architects to understand and implement integration between Snowflake and Azure cloud data platforms.Develop and maintain data pipelines and ingestion frameworks using Snowflake and Azure-native services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Blob Storage).Architecture & Platform Design:
Contribute to the detailed design of the data platform architecture.Ensure alignment with enterprise data strategy, security policies, and performance requirements.Security & Access Control:
Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and fine-grained access policies in Snowflake.Design and enforce data classification-based access controls to support secure data consumption.Work with security and compliance teams to ensure governance and auditability.Performance & Optimization:
Optimize Snowflake queries and storage for performance and cost-efficiency.Monitor and troubleshoot data platform performance issues.Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to enable secure and efficient data access.Document technical designs, access control policies, and operational procedures.Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud data platform roles.Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including schema design, query optimization, and access control.Strong experience with Azure cloud services, especially in data integration and storage.Deep understanding of RBAC, data classification, and security best practices.Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python) would be an added advantage.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Azure DevOps) is a plus.Excellent communication and documentation skills.
