Reporting into the the Head of Cyber Security Engineering, you will help shape the cyber security technology roadmap, ensuring our platforms support business priorities and respond effectively to an evolving threat landscape. The role provides technical leadership across network, endpoint, data loss prevention and cloud security solutions within a complex hybrid environment. You will collaborate with Cyber Security, Technology, Architecture and vendor partners to strengthen our security posture and improve operational capability. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in our Docklands office. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of enterprise security technologies across network, endpoint, data protection and cloud environments.Develop and maintain the cyber security technology roadmap in collaboration with Cyber Security leadership, Enterprise Architecture and Security Architecture stakeholders.Provide technical leadership during security incidents and high-priority service incidents, supporting investigation, containment, recovery and lessons learned activities.Partner with the Cyber Resilience team to optimise security telemetry, SOC integrations, threat-detection use cases and platform tuning.Establish engineering standards, configuration requirements, operational procedures and best practices for security tools and platforms.Identify opportunities to automate security processes, improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.Evaluate security products and services, manage vendor relationships and support effective commercial and service outcomes.Lead security technology projects, manage delivery risks and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders What You Will Bring 8+ years of cyber security engineering experience within complex hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.Strong hands-on knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, endpoint security, data loss prevention and cloud security solutions.Demonstrated technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide, mentor and support cyber security engineering professionals.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience troubleshooting security issues and developing practical mitigation strategies.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.Current knowledge of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, technologies and frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001 and CIS Controls.Experience planning and delivering security technology projects, including managing scope, resources, risks and delivery outcomes.A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, with certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CCSP viewed favourably.
