The Role
Partner with engineers across data, web, and mobile to build and evolve foundational services.
Design and implement new services, APIs, and operational monitoring functions.
Own production services end-to-end, investigating issues, resolving bottlenecks, and identifying improvements.
Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and advocate for best practices.
Drive identification and prioritization of technical debt.
Provide thorough, readable documentation for owned services.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
5+ years of relevant professional technology experience.
Deep understanding of REST, service architecture, monitoring, and horizontal scalability.
Experience developing complex, highly available services in a production environment.
Extensive knowledge of object-oriented and functional software design patterns.
Proven experience owning production services deployed in AWS or Google Cloud Platform, leveraging containers and CI.
Extensive experience using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS, with some Java and GraphQL knowledge.
