About the Opportunity:
The LEAD BUSINESS SYSTEMS ENGINEER role is focused on managing and enhancing the lead-to-order technology stack that supports the go-to-market organization.
This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex Salesforce-based applications and integrations that enable smooth deal progression from initial contact to order fulfillment.
The role directly impacts the efficiency and reliability of critical business systems, reducing technical debt and ensuring scalable processes.
Responsibilities:
Master and build within the lead-to-order architecture, including data models, integration patterns, automation, and security.Design and develop complex Salesforce applications and connected platform solutions using declarative automation, Apex, and Lightning components.Address and remediate critical technical debt by simplifying automation and consolidating redundant elements.Lead the technical execution of cross-functional system projects, including platform migrations and tool rollouts.Develop and maintain integrations and APIs to connect marketing, sales, contracting, and finance systems, ensuring reliability and documentation.Adhere to governance and security standards, including environment strategies, release management, and data segmentation.Collaborate with multiple departments to translate process requirements into effective technical solutions.Integrate AI capabilities into go-to-market workflows with rigorous validation for decision readiness.Provide senior-level technical support including troubleshooting, code review, and documentation improvement.
Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience building business systems or go-to-market platforms.Advanced Salesforce expertise, including Sales Cloud; additional certifications in Apex, Lightning, CPQ, or Platform Developer are advantageous.Strong hands-on development skills in declarative automation, Apex or equivalent languages, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration middleware.Proficiency with related systems such as marketing automation, sales engagement, CLM/e-signature, and ERP integration.Proven experience in delivering complex solutions and resolving technical debt in live production environments.Security-conscious development practices suitable for regulated and federal contexts; public-sector experience is a plus.Effective communication skills across technical and executive audiences.Self-motivated ownership of platform quality and continuous improvement.Interest and experience in applying AI tools within go-to-market technology stacks.Experience in cybersecurity or operational technology/industrial sectors is beneficial.
