About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join Oracle’s Observability organization within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a world-class Integrated Observability and Management platform. The platform aims to deliver seamless, comprehensive monitoring, logging, auditing, SIEM, and inventory services across OCI, other cloud providers, and on-premises environments. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and innovative cloud-based web services that empower our customers with meaningful insights into their resources and data. Your work will directly impact the evolution of our observability tools, ensuring they remain feature-rich and seamlessly integrated, enabling customers to proactively manage and optimize their cloud infrastructure. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of experience in software design, development, and operation of large-scale distributed systems.Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or C++, with experience in scripting languages like Python.Strong understanding of designing, implementing, and managing highly scalable, available, and reliable distributed services or systems.Hands-on experience with both relational and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to tackling complex challenges.Educational qualification of a BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full-stack, cloud-based web services solutions that prioritize scalability, reliability, and high availability.Collaborate extensively with research and engineering teams to deliver complex, large-scale projects that meet strategic objectives.Show initiative and enthusiasm in addressing challenging problems by devising innovative and effective solutions.Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.Ensure that solutions adhere to best practices in security, performance, and maintainability.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and insights on existing systems and processes.Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
