About The Role We are actively seeking a junior to mid-level Software Developer to join our Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), with a particular focus on large language models (LLMs). The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing automation capabilities within the MLOps ecosystem, automating model training processes, and designing scalable architecture that supports data and model requirements. This position requires a candidate with a strong foundation in software development, a keen interest in AI/ML technologies, and the ability to work within a collaborative team environment. The role offers minimal travel within the continental United States and local areas, with an interim Secret Clearance required to access classified information. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen to obtain the necessary security clearance. Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, scientific, or technical disciplines.Hands-on experience with software development languages such as Python, GO, JavaScript, and Vue.js.Understanding of data storage and retrieval methods, including databases, S3 storage, and VAST storage environments.Foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including the ML model lifecycle—training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.Experience with utilizing CPU and GPU resources for ML training and inference tasks.Experience integrating commercial and internal toolsets via SDKs and APIs.Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker (preferred).Familiarity with database systems such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and common SQL and Graph databases.U.S. citizenship is mandatory to obtain security clearance. Responsibilities The Software Developer will contribute to the current development environment by expanding automation capabilities within the MLOps ecosystem. Responsibilities include automating model training workflows to ensure repeatability and efficiency, designing scalable architecture based on data and model requirements, and managing configuration of data sources and model outputs. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate various tools and systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes for high performance. Additionally, the developer will support the deployment and monitoring of ML models in operational environments, ensuring robustness and reliability. The candidate will also contribute to documentation, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall MLOps framework.
