Apps Wave Information Technology is looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our technical team.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate who wants to build a career in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and application deployment while gaining hands-on experience working on real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.Assist with application deployments across development, testing, and production environments.Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications.Support Git-based source code management and workflows using Bitbucket/GitHub/GitLab.Assist in troubleshooting deployment, infrastructure, and connectivity issues.Monitor application and infrastructure performance and review system logs.Support automation initiatives and operational improvements.Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.Assist with documenting deployment processes and infrastructure configurations.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.0- 2 years of relevant experience.Basic understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts.Familiarity with tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including Pods, Deployments, Services, and Namespaces.Good understanding of Git, branches, commits, pull requests, and merges.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure and fundamental cloud concepts.Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.Basic knowledge of Linux and common Linux commands.Familiarity with Bash or PowerShell is an advantage.Basic understanding of monitoring, logs, and troubleshooting.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or equivalent knowledge.Familiarity with Terraform or Ansible.Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.Understanding DevOps security practices.Familiarity with Agile methodologies.Personal projects, internships, technical training, or relevant certifications.
