About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Engineer to join our core product engineering team, playing a vital role in shaping the future of digital banking. In this position, you will work closely with Product Management, Engineering Leadership, and fellow engineers to develop secure, resilient, and high-performance banking solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement scalable backend systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security, reliability, and operational excellence. You will also contribute to architectural decisions, guide technical strategies, and take ownership of systems from conception through deployment and ongoing operations, embodying the 'You build it, you run it' philosophy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the technical direction of Solaris' innovative financial services and collaborate with a talented team to solve complex technical challenges at scale. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have proven experience in building scalable, cloud-native backend systems, preferably with Golang or similar programming languages. You should possess strong expertise in developing and operating distributed systems on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability. A solid understanding of security best practices for backend and cloud-based services is essential. Demonstrated ownership of complex systems, combined with a mindset geared towards operational excellence, is highly valued. Additionally, you should be capable of driving cross-functional initiatives while balancing technical and business priorities. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative attitude are critical. Experience working with AI tools, understanding AI output, and contributing to responsible AI use will be considered advantageous. Candidates should also have a commitment to continuous learning and development, especially regarding evolving AI technologies.
