About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of homeoffice and hybrid working arrangements, based in Ratingen or Frankfurt am Main. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based infrastructure solutions. Your expertise will help ensure the reliability and efficiency of our modern system landscapes, supporting our clients' digital initiatives with innovative automation and AI-assisted engineering tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage containerized environments, and implement infrastructure as code, all while adhering to compliance and security standards. This role provides an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of technological advancements, including LLMOps, AI integration, and cloud-native architectures, shaping the future of enterprise IT operations. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, configuration management, or platform engineering. Proven expertise with DevOps platforms, especially GitLab, and experience in application deployment and operations are essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift 4, including enterprise cluster administration, as well as familiarity with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and scripting languages like Ansible, Terraform, Shell, Go, or Python is required. Experience with container technologies like Docker, monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, and observability solutions like ELK or Splunk is highly desirable. A security-conscious mindset, with knowledge of IT infrastructure security, Zero Trust architecture, secret management, and identity and access management (LDAP, SAML, OIDC, OAuth2), is vital. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, incident management capabilities, and fluency in both German and English at C1/C2 levels. Residency in Germany is a prerequisite, along with experience in storage solutions, Linux system administration, and familiarity with KI-assisted development tools and LLM infrastructure is advantageous. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive IT projects, from initial conception through rollout to stable production operation.Ensure the reliability of modern system landscapes by managing and continuously enhancing Linux-based environments, microservices, and web applications.Configure and maintain DevOps pipelines focusing on continuous integration and delivery to facilitate smooth, efficient development workflows.Integrate and leverage AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code to support development and operational processes.Conceive and operate LLMOps platforms, ensuring reliable deployment and management of large language models within enterprise environments.Implement and operate Docker environments to support scalable and standardized application landscapes.Promote automation and standardization actively, ensuring stable system operations in collaboration with team members.Take responsibility for third-level support, including complex system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution.Utilize collaboration tools professionally to foster knowledge sharing, transparency, and effective teamwork.Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements, including security standards, operation concepts, and IT governance policies.
