About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps / Cloud Engineer specializing in Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code to join our dynamic IT team.
In this role, you will be pivotal in designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability services on our STACKIT Kubernetes platform.
Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of our ServiceNow Shared Services, including AI Search, Machine Learning, and Document Intelligence modules.
You will be responsible for advancing our CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and ensuring the security and stability of our cloud environment.
Working within an agile team, you will translate complex technical requirements into scalable, resilient cloud architectures that meet stringent security and compliance standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable technical IT qualification, complemented by substantial professional experience in a Cloud-Native and Kubernetes environment.
You should have extensive experience managing complex Kubernetes setups in enterprise scenarios and a passion for continuous improvement.
A strong understanding of the interplay between distributed microservices and traditional, database-centric enterprise applications such as ServiceNow is essential.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and Ansible, as well as modern CI/CD tools such as GitLab, is required.
You should embody a DevOps mindset, thrive working in agile environments, and understand the demands of a highly secure cloud hosting operation.
Excellent communication skills in German and good proficiency in English are necessary, along with a quick grasp of new concepts and a solution-oriented, independent working style.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and maintain highly available services on the STACKIT Kubernetes cluster, ensuring optimal performance for ServiceNow Shared Services, including AI Search, Machine Learning, and Document Intelligence modules.Continuously improve and optimize our CI/CD landscape utilizing GitLab, and drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm for container workloads.Ensure seamless network integration between Kubernetes-based microservices, Java-based ServiceNow applications, and load balancer clusters, maintaining high performance and reliability.Implement auto-scaling strategies and observability frameworks to uphold our Sovereign Cloud SLAs, guaranteeing maximum stability and availability.Conduct security hardening of clusters through Pod Security Policies, Network Policies, and other best practices, ensuring compliance with standards such as BSI C5 and DORA.Translate technical requirements into standardized, scalable cloud architectures within an agile team environment, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
