About The Role As an Application Engineer (m/w/d) at SEG Electronics in Kempen, you will play a crucial role in developing and validating application functions for our multifunctional protection devices. Your responsibilities will span from technical conception to practical implementation, ensuring that our products meet high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. You will work closely with various internal teams—including development, product management, and sales support—as well as external development partners, to design innovative solutions that align with customer requirements and industry standards. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a solid educational background in electrical engineering or a comparable technical field, with several years of professional experience in application development for protection devices. You should have in-depth knowledge of protection technology, relevant standards, and guidelines, along with hands-on experience in simulation tools and laboratory equipment. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail are essential. You must be able to work independently, demonstrating a structured and reliable approach, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken, is required to facilitate effective collaboration within our international team. Responsibilities Design and develop application functions based on customer specifications and applicable standards.Evaluate and validate functions through calculations, simulations, and laboratory tests to ensure performance and compliance.Process and provide measurement data as input parameters for application functions.Create and execute developer tests, technical specifications, and detailed requirements documentation.Verify compliance with relevant standards and guidelines, and contribute to certification processes.Assist the Verification & Validation (V&V) department by preparing test plans and validation protocols.Develop application notes, technical documentation, and comprehensive reports on test outcomes.Support technical customer inquiries and analyze customer-reported issues or disturbances.Collaborate closely with software and hardware development teams to optimize product functionality.
