About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team in Nürnberg. In this strategic role, you will play a pivotal part in the replacement of our existing portfolio management system within the general insurance sector. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development with Java, complemented by several years of professional experience in software projects. A solid understanding of system architecture, technical conception, and integration processes is essential. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, enabling clear and effective collaboration with technical teams and business stakeholders. A relevant qualification such as an apprenticeship as a Fachinformatiker/in, a degree in computer science, or an equivalent qualification is required. Prior experience with insurance systems or enterprise-scale applications will be considered advantageous. Responsibilities As a Senior Java Developer, your responsibilities will include supporting the strategic replacement of our legacy insurance management system within the general insurance division. You will actively participate in the technological reorientation of our application landscape by designing, developing, and integrating a new Java-based portfolio management system. You will independently resolve technical challenges related to software replacement and integration, ensuring smooth transitions and minimized disruptions. Your role involves engaging in all phases of software development, from conceptualization and design through testing and deployment. Working within an agile team, you will collaborate closely with business units, service providers, and IT operations to align project goals and deliverables. Additionally, you will contribute to shaping the technological future of the organization by proposing innovative solutions and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
