About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructures that support our innovative projects. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems, enabling seamless deployment and operation of applications across various cloud and on-premises environments. As a key player in our DevOps team, you will work on the entire lifecycle of our infrastructure, from initial conception through to production deployment and ongoing optimization. You will be responsible for configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and integrating AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance development and operational workflows. Your role will also involve the design and operation of LLMOps platforms for deploying large language models securely and efficiently within enterprise environments. This position offers a hybrid work model with flexible working hours, allowing you to balance professional growth with personal commitments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, security specialists, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet regulatory and compliance standards. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to innovate rapidly while maintaining operational stability and security. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, Configuration Management, or Platform Engineering.Strong proficiency with DevOps platforms, especially GitLab, and experience in application operation and automated deployments.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift 4, including enterprise cluster administration.Practical knowledge of cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and scripting languages, including Ansible, Terraform, Shell, Go, and Python.Experience with container technologies such as Docker.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic, Splunk, or Opsgenie.Security-focused experience, including BSI-GS, IT infrastructure security, Zero Trust models, secret management, and identity & access management (LDAP, SAML, OIDC, OAuth2).Ability to perform structured error analysis, incident handling, and crisis communication effectively.Fluent in German and English at C1/C2 level.Residing in Germany with a valid work permit.Optional but advantageous: experience with storage solutions such as Ceph, OpenShift Data Foundation, or network/DNS management.Basic knowledge of Linux system administration and an interest in AI-powered development tools and LLM infrastructure operations. Responsibilities Designing and implementing comprehensive IT projects from initial concept through deployment and stable operation in production environments.Ensuring the reliability and performance of modern system landscapes through Linux environment management, microservices, and web applications.Configuring and maintaining DevOps pipelines focused on continuous integration and delivery to streamline development workflows.Integrating AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code into existing development and operational processes.Planning and managing LLMOps platforms to facilitate the secure and efficient deployment of large language models in enterprise settings.Implementing and operating Docker environments to support scalable and standardized application deployment.Promoting automation and standardization across teams to enhance operational stability and efficiency.Providing 3rd-level support for complex system landscapes, including root cause analysis and problem resolution.Utilizing collaboration tools to foster knowledge sharing, transparency, and effective teamwork.Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to security, data management, and operational standards.
