About The Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer 2 to join Verisk’s dynamic technology team.
This role is pivotal in supporting the implementation, automation, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of production systems.
Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining scalable infrastructure, enhancing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and supporting application deployments in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
You should have at least three years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure-related roles, with a minimum of two years supporting or managing AWS cloud environments.
Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and Auto Scaling is essential.
Hands-on experience in building, maintaining, or troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline is required.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CDK and/or CloudFormation, containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes, and scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell will be highly advantageous.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills are also necessary to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of AWS cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation and CDK, while adhering to security, governance, and operational standards.Design, build, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation workflows to facilitate reliable and efficient software delivery using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and related tools.Assist in managing containerized applications and cloud-native services through Docker, Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, and other orchestration technologies.Contribute to infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational enhancements using CloudWatch, Splunk, and other observability tools to ensure system reliability and performance.Participate in production support activities, including incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and deployment support to maintain high availability and system stability.Collaborate with software engineering, security, architecture, and infrastructure teams to implement DevOps and DevSecOps best practices, support cloud migration initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency.Document processes, contribute to technical standards, share knowledge within the team, and identify opportunities for automation, cost optimization, and improved reliability.
