Description We are seeking a System Engineer that shall collaborate closely with product owners, program managers, hardware engineers, networking and storage teams, system administrators, and customer stakeholders to deliver highquality, servicefocused hardware capabilities while supporting the Agency’s STE/STN objectives. In addition, the System Engineer shall be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation to ensure consistent understanding across teams, enable effective knowledge transfer, and support longterm system sustainment. Requirements A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position. Experience Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Required Skills Demonstrated experience administering Linux systems, including proficiency with command‑line toolingAbility to develop automation scripts using Bash and Python to streamline operational and maintenance tasksExperience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software across large‑scale Linux cluster environmentsFamiliarity with the Agency’s STE/STN security compliance requirements and the ability to ensure systems adhere to established policiesBroad technical understanding of server components, including compute, storage arrays, network fabrics, memory architectures, and database technologiesWorking knowledge of IaC concepts, principles and experience using automation tooling such as SaltStack and AnsibleHands‑on knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and containerdFamiliarity with Fiber Channel attached storage systemsFamiliarity with Oracle OLVM and Desired Skills Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as KubernetesFamiliar with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFSExperience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence Benefits Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits.
