Description
We are looking for a strong Tech Lead with deep software engineering and backend expertise to lead a small engineering team and take ownership of technical decisions, architecture, and engineering quality.
This is a hands-on role — you will drive the technical direction of the team while staying deeply involved in production development, architecture, and solving complex engineering challenges.
You will lead a small cross-functional team consisting of 3 Software Engineers and 2 QA Engineers.
Our core backend stack is Go, so we are looking for someone with strong commercial Golang experience and a solid background in building scalable, distributed systems.
We also expect you to actively leverage AI tools to improve engineering quality, productivity, and development velocity.

Lead the technical direction of the team and own key architecture decisionsDesign and develop scalable backend services and APIs using GoStay hands-on with production code and solve complex technical challengesDesign reliable, scalable, and maintainable distributed systemsLead code reviews and maintain high engineering standards across the teamImprove system performance, reliability, observability, and scalabilityIdentify technical risks, bottlenecks, and areas for improvementMentor Software Engineers and support their technical growthHelp increase team productivity and improve engineering efficiencyCollaborate closely with Product, QA, and other engineering teamsContinuously improve development processes, engineering practices, and delivery qualityActively use AI-powered development tools to accelerate engineering workflows and improve code quality
Requirements
7+ years of software engineering experienceStrong commercial experience with Go (Golang)Strong backend and software engineering backgroundExperience designing scalable architectures and distributed systemsStrong understanding of microservices architecture and asynchronous communication patternsSolid experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and REST APIsExperience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similarExperience with Docker and CI/CD pipelinesExperience leading engineers and driving technical and architectural decisionsStrong hands-on approach — you are comfortable staying close to the code and contributing to production developmentStrong understanding of engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and system reliabilityExperience using AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar in daily development
