Overview
The Data Engineer is a key contributor to Our Data & Analytics Strategy to transform Patelco as a Data-driven organization and position Credit Union as a Technology Leader.
This position is responsible for the design, development, deploy and operations of data analytics in Modern Cloud Data & Analytics platform.
You will be part of a passionate, highly collaborative team who works in a fast-paced agile environment.
You will work closely with business & technology owners, product managers, data champions and cross-functional teams to support data & analytical needs and enable data-as-a-service function.
The ideal candidate will be a experienced data engineering & analytics professional, excels in delivering value, familiar with modern data architectures, offering comprehensive data & analytical technology skills in Data Pipelines, Snowflake, Cloud Data & Analytics Platforms, Data Warehouse, BI Analytics & Dashboards.
Preferable to have financials services domain experience from banking, credit union, fintech and other financial sectors.
Responsibilities
Develops and delivers data & analytics solutions and projects to meet organizational priorities and timelines.Analyzes enterprise and external data sources, creates optimized & resilient data pipelines to ingest and enriches them.Designs analytical consume ready data models by applying modern data warehouse techniques.
Creates and enriches curated data models while ensuring conformed, transformed, enriched and connected data setsEnables dashboards/reports in Tableau; Applies analytical mindset in deriving data driven insights, designs & creates intuitive dashboards and scorecards.
Practices and adheres to enterprise data standards, guidelines, data management architecture.
Finds opportunities to improve best practices, identifies repeatable solutions to underlying problems.
Works with offshore and external partner resources and owns delivery of work items
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Platforms, or related data & AI roles.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, API integration, data transformation, and AI/ML solution development.Hands-on experience with modern Cloud Data Platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or equivalent technologies.Expertise in designing and building scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and manage structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from files, APIs, databases, and cloud sources.Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server and cloud-native data warehouses.Experience leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, and AI-powered analytics solutions in enterprise environments.Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python visualization libraries, and self-service analytics platforms.Experience implementing data quality frameworks, data observability, metadata management, data governance standards, and technical data catalogs/dictionaries.Familiarity with Machine Learning lifecycle concepts (MLOps) including model deployment, monitoring, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices.Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git-based development workflows, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.Proficiency with collaboration and project management tools including Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, GitHub/GitLab, and Azure DevOps.Strong analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve productivity.Proven ability to rapidly learn and adopt emerging technologies in the evolving Data, Analytics, and AI landscape.Demonstrates a Team-First mindset, fostering collaboration and contributing to the maturity of enterprise Data, Analytics, and AI platforms.Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Credit Union, FinTech, or related regulated industries is preferred.Knowledge of data security, privacy, compliance, and Responsible AI governance within regulated environments is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Snowflake AI services, Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, Streamlit, or similar AI application frameworks.Experience building AI-powered data products, conversational analytics, intelligent automation solutions, and agentic workflows.Understanding of vector search, embeddings, knowledge retrieval systems, and enterprise AI architecture patterns.
Target Base Pay
$105,004- $131,259/ yr
