Supporting the implementation of the National Maintenance Plan, ensuring effective planning, prioritization, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance workGuiding the transition from the traditional maintenance regime.
to a maintenance model based on service level agreements (SLAs), where the performance, quality, and effectiveness of maintenance work are defined, measured, and monitored contractuallyCoordinating the introduction of life cycle asset management in accordance with ISO 55000 standards, covering trackwork, civil engineering works, signaling, electrification, and telecommunicationsProviding technical expertise for the preparation and implementation of performance-based maintenance contracts and service level monitoring systemsProviding technical expertise for the development and implementation of SLAs with internal regional units and external contractors, ensuring transparent, documented, and accountable maintenance management across the entire networkGuiding the development of digital maintenance tools and predictive maintenance models using telemetry and sensor dataSupporting effective coordination between railway infrastructure and systems maintenance teams and rolling stock maintenance units to minimize operational disruptionsSupporting the standardization of inspection procedures, fault recording, work orders, and maintenance documentation across all regional maintenance unitsMonitoring compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and applicable European regulatory requirements during maintenance workReviewing the current asset management and maintenance arrangements of the Greek railwaysDeveloping recommendations for an improved, holistic, efficient, and future-proof railway infrastructure asset management system
Qualifications:
Successfully completed university degree in railway, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification, combined with relevant professional experience in a complex railway environmentMinimum of 10 years’ professional experience in similar tasksMinimum of 5 years’ work experience in railway infrastructure and/or railway systems maintenance and asset management in an environment applying European standards and regulations, such as ERTMS, TSI, and relevant asset management standardsSound knowledge of life cycle asset management, maintenance planning, service level agreements, and performance-based maintenance approachesStrong impartial moderation skills and intercultural sensitivityAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary and international teamFluency in English is mandatory; German and Greek would be an advantageFamiliarity with Greek administrative and business standards would be an advantage
