Senior Analyst, Data Engineering & AI Contract length: 5 months (with the possibility of extension) Work location: Canada, Remote / Hybrid Eligible for Secret level security clearance required We are seeking a motivated and technically strong Senior Analyst, Data & AI to join our growing Data & AI practice. In this role, you will work alongside experienced consultants, engineers, architects, and client stakeholders to deliver modern data and AI solutions on Microsoft technologies. You will help design, build, and support data pipelines, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities that solve complex business challenges. This position is ideal for someone who is curious, eager to learn, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and excited to work in complex enterprise environments. What You'll Do Design, develop, and support data engineering and analytics solutions using modern Microsoft technologies. Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and data products using Microsoft Fabric, Python, SQL, and cloud-native services. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate needs into technical solutions. Perform data discovery, profiling, validation, and quality assessment activities. Support the development of reporting, analytics, and AI use cases. Contribute to solution design workshops, technical documentation, and client presentations. Troubleshoot and optimize data processing workflows to improve performance and reliability. Work closely with architects and senior team members to implement best practices for governance, security, and data management. Continuously learn and adopt emerging technologies in Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. Required Qualifications Strong experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related fields. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric. Strong programming skills in Python. Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational and analytical data platforms. Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations. Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, dimensional modeling, and modern analytics architectures. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. Nice to Have Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment. Experience with Azure Data Services, Databricks, or Power BI. Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or Agentic AI solutions. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code concepts. Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices. Experience working with public sector or regulated industry clients.
