About The Team The Revenue and Financial Automation (RFA) team at Stripe is building a modern, revenue-focused, financial management platform for fast growing, digital native companies. Hundreds of thousands of businesses of all sizes and types use Stripe Billing to collect revenue for recurring and one-time payments across a variety of different pricing models—from selling SaaS subscriptions, to orchestrating multi-stage contracts, providing recovery and retention tools to prevent customer churn,—and with the acquisition of Metronome, delivering Usage-Based Billing. Within this group, our team’s mission is to make Stripe and Metronome feel like one product, so merchants can bill for subscriptions and usage in a single, seamless experience. What you’ll do We’re looking for Full Stack engineers who are interested in building software services and platforms that impact thousands of employees and millions of Stripe users, regardless of whether they’re an end user, developer, or partner. Responsibilities Scope, architect, and lead technical projects to improve on existing features and solve new problemsDebug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stackDesign, build, and maintain user-facing experiences, services, APIs, and systemsMake effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundationDevelop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmapsPartner with engineers and product managers on infrastructure and other product teams to ensure your features are part of an integrated Stripe suiteEstablish and uphold best practices in engineering, security, and technical design Who you are We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. Minimum Requirements 2-5+ years of industry software engineering experience (does not include internships nor includes co-ops)Strong coding skills in any programming language (we understand new languages can be learned on the job so our interview process is language agnostic)Strong collaboration skills, can work across workstreams within your team and contribute to your peers’ successHave the ability to thrive on a high level of autonomy, responsibility, and think of yourself as entrepreneurialInterest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems and delight both internal and external usersStrong AI adoption skills, proactively experiments with AI tools, adapts inefficient manual habits, and actively innovates to enhance performance Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of software development experience, with an emphasis on modern frontend technologies (HTML/CSS/TypeScript/React) and building delightful user interfaces In-office expectations Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible. Pay and benefits The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is CA$135,200 - CA$202,800. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process. Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process.
