We're seeking an e BMS Engineer with some hands-on controls experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility and guidance from experienced engineers.
The role
You'll support the delivery and maintenance of Building Management Systems across commercial buildings, working both in the office and on client sites.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Assisting with BMS design, control sequences, equipment selection and project documentation.Configuring controllers, developing control logic and creating BMS graphics.Supporting commissioning, including point-to-point checks, sensor verification and functional testing.Helping integrate HVAC equipment and meters using BACnet and Modbus.Investigating faults, adjusting system settings and assisting with performance improvements.Maintaining commissioning records, technical documentation and client handover information.Taking ownership of smaller tasks and straightforward system changes as your experience develops.
About you
This role would suit someone with approximately 1-3 years of relevant BMS, HVAC controls or building automation experience, or an electrical/engineering background with practical exposure to controls.
You'll Ideally Bring
Experience with Tridium Niagara, or another BMS platform such as Distech, Honeywell, Johnson Controls or Schneider.A basic understanding of HVAC systems, sensors, actuators and control principles.Some exposure to BMS programming, commissioning or fault-finding.The ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.An organised approach, clear communication and a willingness to learn.A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to Sydney project sites.
Niagara certification would be an advantage, but is not essential.
The level
You should be comfortable completing routine technical tasks and recognising when to ask for support.
Complex design decisions, advanced programming and overall project delivery will be supported by senior engineers.
Salary: $80,000-$90,000 base + super, depending on relevant experience and practical capability.
