Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and scale AI-powered products and internal solutions that drive meaningful business results.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role for someone who can turn complex business problems into reliable, production-ready systems using machine learning, generative AI, automation, and modern software engineering.
You will help shape the organization’s AI strategy while remaining close to the work—identifying high-value use cases, building the technical foundation, and delivering tools that make teams faster, smarter, and more effective.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI applications and services.Develop solutions using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), intelligent agents, predictive modeling, workflow automation, and other AI capabilities as appropriate.Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify valuable AI opportunities, define requirements, and convert ambiguous problems into practical solutions.Build and optimize data pipelines, embeddings workflows, vector databases, model-evaluation frameworks, and AI application infrastructure.Integrate AI capabilities into internal systems, customer-facing platforms, and enterprise workflows through APIs, services, and automation tools.Evaluate AI models, platforms, and vendors based on performance, security, scalability, cost, reliability, and business fit.Establish engineering standards for prompt design, testing, model evaluation, observability, monitoring, versioning, and continuous improvement.Improve deployed AI systems for accuracy, latency, cost efficiency, scalability, and user experience.Collaborate closely with software engineering, data, security, operations, and product teams to ensure solutions are secure, dependable, and ready for real-world use.Help establish responsible AI practices around data privacy, access controls, model risk, human review, and governance.Mentor other engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and help set the technical direction for future AI initiatives.Stay current on emerging AI technologies and translate the ones that matter into real opportunities for the organization.
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, data engineering, or AI engineering, with meaningful experience deploying AI or ML solutions into production.Strong Python skills and experience building backend services, APIs, integrations, and scalable applications.Hands-on experience developing LLM-based applications, including RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt engineering, tool calling, agent workflows, and evaluation frameworks.Experience working with machine learning and AI tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies.Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment practices, ideally AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker, CI/CD, orchestration, and monitoring tools.Strong SQL and data-modeling skills, with experience working across structured and unstructured data sources.Solid understanding of system design, security, data privacy, reliability, and scalability.Demonstrated ability to evaluate whether an AI solution is actually valuable, measurable, and appropriate for the problem—not just technically interesting.Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners and senior leaders.A pragmatic, ownership-oriented approach and comfort operating in a fast-moving environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $170,000–$220,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
This role is also eligible for the company’s benefits program.
