Job Summary
Sorenson Communications is looking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help design, build, automate, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and delivery platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, Git-based version control systems, scripting, and automation.
This is a senior-level, hands-on role requiring strong technical ownership, automation expertise, and a solid understanding of modern DevSecOps practices.
They will work closely with Cloud Engineering, Software Engineering, SRE, Security and Operations teams to improve the reliability, repeatability, security, and speed of infrastructure and application delivery.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Develop, define, and implement pipelines to deploying infrastructure as code (IaC).Work with our development teams to create full software deployment pipelinesCreate complex automation scripts tasks using Python (preferred), Powershell, Bash.Create Infrastructure as Code scripts using Terraform and Cloudformation.Support versioning of code using GitCreate repeatable configurations using AnsibleUse expertise when migrating On-Premise workloads to Public Cloud environments in a secure and highly available method.Implement Enterprise Monitoring, Sys-logging, or other alerting systems on all required system components.Coordinate with the Security Team to manage cloud security policies.Troubleshoot complex system and technical issues and decisions on developing solutions.Document system designs and diagnostic processesProviding rotational on-call supportHandles complex issues and problemsProviding coaching or mentoring to other team members.Perform miscellaneous duties, working on project teams, and ad hoc assignments as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field required, or, equivalent work experience.
