This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals.
Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces.
Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.
Position Summary:
Seeking an individual with strong Python skills, with Structured Notes domain knowledge preferred.
The candidate will be responsible for leading delivery of pricing and booking functionality, critical to the continued buildout of our Structured Notes functionality.
Responsibilities:
Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirementsUtilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirementsPerforms Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activitiesContributes to story refinement and definition of requirementsParticipates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycleContributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying causePerforms spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideasDevelop a thorough understanding of our entire technology stackDesign and develop new features within existing Python services; create new services to expand the overall frameworkContribute to future design and architecturePlan work in an agile manner with other team membersWrite acceptance tests in coordination with QA
Required Qualifications
7+ year of technology development experience and specifically 3+ years of experience in development of front-office equities derivatives systems.
(Previous experience of working with SN and SP is a plus.)Computer science or equivalent degreeDemonstrable experience of having designed and developed complex server-side functionality in PythonSQL - preferably OracleShell scripting and basic Unix knowledge desirableProficient in writing unit, integration, and acceptance testsComfortable in an agile working environmentSelf-starter and proactive
