As the Project Chief Engineer for AISD Non-Safety Routers, you will lead the engineering execution of a critical program, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with program goals.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, manufacturing, and regulatory agencies, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
Your role will directly impact the success of the program and future manufacturing capabilities.
This is an onsite role that can be based in either Burnsville, Minnesota OR Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
What You Will Do:
Serve as the primary engineering leader responsible for RLPM development activities.
Act as the primary technical interface to manufacturing teams, program managers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
Ensure engineering accountability for meeting technical requirements and program scope, including cost and schedule commitments.
Oversee and ensure adherence to engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle.
Liaise between Value Stream Leaders (VSL) and engineering Project Engineers (PEs) and Leads.
Maintain Earned Value, financial management, and schedule maintenance for all related engineering activities.
Manage risks and opportunities associated with engineering activities.
Conduct Gate Reviews and define and drive the implementation of technical solutions.
Support customer interactions and ensure alignment with regulatory and manufacturing requirements.
Lead and support additional program activities as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
Experience with project development in systems, software, or hardware engineering disciplines.
Experience managing projects, including planning and tracking project status, creating and managing schedules, cost plans, and reporting to leadership.
Experience interfacing with manufacturing teams.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Knowledge of RLPM processes and practices.
Aerospace industry experience is highly preferredAwareness of DO-254, DO-178C, and ARP4754A product and process development standards.
Previous experience leading engineering teams.
Ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role.

territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
