Our challenge We are looking for a highly skilled Senior React Developer to join our engineering team and help us build scalable, high-performance web applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other stakeholders to turn complex business requirements into intuitive and reliable user experiences. In this role, you will contribute to technical decisions, improve development standards, mentor team members, and help shape the future of our frontend architecture. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA is $110k - $115k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and modern frontend technologies.Build reusable, maintainable, and high-quality UI components.Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features.Translate business and user requirements into effective technical solutions.Develop responsive, accessible, and cross-browser-compatible interfaces.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.Identify and resolve performance, usability, and technical issues.Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.Help define and improve frontend architecture, coding standards, and development processes.Mentor junior and mid-level developers.Stay up to date with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends.Contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, and production support activities when required. Requirements: 8+ years of professional experience in frontend development.Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.Solid understanding of React concepts, including hooks, component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.Experience with modern frontend tools such as Next.js, Vite, Webpack, or similar.Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and accessibility standards.Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, Context API, or equivalent.Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous data handling.Experience writing automated tests using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.Good understanding of Git and collaborative software development workflows.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to take ownership of projects and work effectively in a collaborative team.
