About the Opportunity:
The SOFTWARE ENGINEER II - QUERY GATEWAY is responsible for managing and advancing the query gateway stack, a critical component of the telemetry database platform.
This role directly impacts the reliability and performance of systems that process large-scale data, contributing to the foundation that supports the organization’s products and services.
The position involves collaboration across teams to enhance query capabilities and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Own and develop the query gateway stack.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI, Visualizations, and Data Processing.Build and maintain scalable distributed Java services and petabyte-scale infrastructure.Investigate and resolve performance, availability, and resiliency issues in a multi-region, multi-cloud, multi-tenant distributed database.Participate in agile development and DevOps practices, including on-call rotations.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in collaborative software development.Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and software design.Self-motivated with strong ownership of code and commitments.Proficient troubleshooting skills using command-line tools.Experience with Java or comparable object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C++, C#).
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Estimated base pay range: $126,000 to $158,000 USD.Eligibility for a corporate bonus plan.Pay varies by location and candidate qualifications.
