Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain robust backend services and systems that power VectorOne’s finance-focused products.
Responsibilities include architecting and implementing software features, writing clean and maintainable code, performing code reviews, and ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.
The role involves close collaboration with product managers, domain experts, and other engineers to translate complex business and financial requirements into technical solutions, as well as contributing to overall technical direction and best practices.
The Senior Software Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, improve development workflows, and mentor other team members.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.Hands-on experience with Software Development and Programming in modern languages (such as Java, C#, Python, or similar).Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, and integration with data stores.Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and scalable distributed systems.Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate complex ideas clearly, and mentor other engineers.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Background in financial systems, analytics, or working with CFO organizations is a plus.
