About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with extensive experience in Magento to join our client’s team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development, customization, and maintenance of e-commerce platforms that are critical to our client’s online business success. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing scalable, secure, and high-performing Magento-based solutions that elevate user experience and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, front-end developers, and project managers, to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely within the West Coast time zone, contributing to innovative projects that impact a global audience. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Magento development, specifically Magento 2.Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining Magento extensions and themes.Strong understanding of integrating third-party modules and APIs.Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate remotely.Magento certifications are considered a plus. Responsibilities Modernize and develop innovative e-commerce applications tailored to client needs.Design, implement, and maintain high-quality Magento applications and extensions.Customize Magento themes and templates to enhance user experience and engagement.Integrate third-party modules, APIs, and services to expand platform capabilities.Optimize Magento websites for performance, scalability, and security to ensure seamless user experiences.Troubleshoot and debug issues proactively to minimize downtime and maintain platform stability.Collaborate with designers and frontend developers to implement new features and enhancements.Stay abreast of the latest Magento trends, updates, and best practices, recommending improvements accordingly.Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions to foster a collaborative team environment.
