We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join an innovative technology organization, designing and building secure, cloud-native solutions that connect critical enterprise systems and enable real-time data exchange. You’ll work closely with experienced developers, architects, security professionals, and technical stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on development with your broader integration expertise, contributing to scalable systems where security, reliability, and performance matter. What’s In It for You • Competitive salary of $140,000 to $147,000 plus a 7% annual bonus • 3 weeks of vacation, with potential for 4 weeks for candidates with 10+ years of experience, subject to approval • Employer pension contributions matched dollar-for-dollar up to 8% of salary • Employee Share Purchase Plan with a $0.50 employer match for every $1 contributed • Relocation assistance may be available for candidates moving to Ottawa Your Responsibilities • You’ll design, code, test, and deploy integrations using Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Service Bus. • You’ll build real-time, event-driven integrations and data streams using Kafka. • You’ll develop and secure RESTful APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API key management. • You’ll apply Enterprise Integration Patterns for routing, transformation, and orchestration. • You’ll troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize system performance. • You’ll remain hands-on with development, writing production-level code using Python and/or Java. Skills and Qualifications • 7+ years of hands-on enterprise application integration experience, with 8 to 10+ years preferred • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline • Strong hands-on experience with Azure APIM, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Service Bus • Production-level programming experience with Python and/or Java • Practical experience with Kafka, event-driven architecture, REST APIs, API gateways, OAuth 2.0, and JWT • Knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Redis, MongoDB, or similar databases, with Databricks considered an asset • Ability to meet the requirements for Government of Canada Reliability Status Note from the Hiring Manager “We’re looking for someone who has strong integration experience but still genuinely enjoys being hands-on.
