WordPress Developer Location: Harrisburg, PA – Hybrid Duration: 6+ Months Only W2 Employment Type: Contract Job Description We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to support and manage our agency website. We need someone with strong hands-on WordPress experience who can independently handle website updates, maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting. The selected candidate will work closely with the Communications Director to implement website changes and ensure the site remains reliable, responsive, secure, and up to date. Responsibilities * Manage and maintain the existing WordPress website * Create, update, and modify website pages and content * Handle WordPress themes, plugins, and website functionality * Customize website layouts and features based on business requirements * Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress and website-related issues * Perform regular WordPress, theme, and plugin updates * Ensure the website is responsive across desktop and mobile devices * Support website performance, security, backups, and general maintenance * Coordinate directly with the Communications Director regarding website updates and enhancements * Independently manage assigned website tasks and deliver them on time Required Skills * Strong hands-on experience with WordPress development and maintenance * Experience with WordPress themes and plugins * Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP * Ability to customize and troubleshoot WordPress websites * Understanding of responsive web design * Experience with website maintenance, performance, and security * Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills * Excellent communication skills * Ability to work independently and manage website requests efficiently We are looking for someone with very good WordPress experience who can quickly take ownership of the website and work with minimal supervision.
