Job Overview
We are seeking a Platform API Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services that support modern applications and enable engineering teams to build new products and capabilities.
This role is ideal for an experienced backend engineer with strong Ruby on Rails and API development experience who enjoys solving complex backend problems, building reliable services, and creating APIs that are easy to integrate and maintain.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services using Ruby on Rails.Build and enhance REST and/or GraphQL APIs to support applications and product capabilities.Design clean, consistent, and maintainable API contracts and backend architecture.Develop integrations with internal systems and third-party services.Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases and data models.Improve API performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.Write automated tests and maintain high standards for code quality.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across backend services and APIs.Collaborate with frontend engineers, product teams, and other developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.Maintain API documentation and development standards.Take ownership of technical initiatives from planning through implementation and delivery.
Required Qualifications
