Summary
Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)Duration: 12 Months contract position
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions using Python and React within a dynamic, agile team.Leverage Generative AI tools and coding assistants to enhance development velocity and solution quality.Collaborate with global teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.Participate in scrum meetings, report on project status, and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.Learn and apply company’s proprietary frameworks and best practices.Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.Respond proactively to change, mastering new technical and business concepts as needed.
Requirements
Python: Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience.Proven ability to write optimized, efficient, and clean code.React: Minimum 5 years of UI/UX implementation experience.Databases: Proficiency in RDBMS and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and related technologies.OOP & Design Patterns: Strong grasp and practical use during development.Linux/Unix & Shell Scripting: Solid working knowledge.Analytical Skills: Ability to design and implement effective solutions to complex problems.Teamwork & Communication: Strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and clear communication skills, both oral and written.Testing: Ability to write thorough unit tests covering all major logic components.
Preferred Skills
GenAI: Experience with Generative AI technologies, coding assistants, RAG, agentic AI.Advanced database skills, including PL/SQL and query optimization.Experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipeline management, containerization, observability tools.Familiarity with Layered and Component-based Architecture.Scripting expertise in Python, Perl, or Unix shell.Exposure to various application types: web, batch, and streaming.Experience working in global Agile Scrum teams.
