Software Engineer

Software Engineer | Bristol / Hybrid | £60,000 - £70,000 Peaple Talent is partnering with a growing technology business in Bristol as they continue to build out their engineering team. They're looking for two experienced Software Developers to join the team, with opportunities for engineers with a particular interest in either AI or event-driven architecture. The roles will suit developers who enjoy working across the stack and are comfortable in an environment where things are still being built, improved and shaped. There's also plenty of scope to contribute to the evolution of testing, automation and continuous deployment. What You'll Bring: Strong commercial experience as a Mid or Senior Software DeveloperStrong JavaScript/TypeScript experience, with Node.js and ReactExperience working with AWS and modern cloud-based applicationsA willingness to take ownership and work across different areas of the technology stackExperience working in an agile, fast-moving or start-up environmentA proactive mindset and an interest in improving engineering processes and practicesStrong understanding of software development, testing and deployment Depending on the role, we're particularly interested in: AI: Experience working with AI, machine learning, LLMs or integrating AI capabilities into software productsEvent-driven: Strong experience with event-driven architecture, event sourcing and designing scalable distributed systems Nice to Have: DevOps or cloud architecture experienceExperience building CI/CD pipelines and supporting continuous deploymentStrong automated testing experienceExperience working with or improving testing frameworks and processesExperience across both automated and manual testing environmentsAn ambition to progress and take on greater responsibility as the engineering team grows
