They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking. Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Performance Engineer to join our client in support of an existing vacancy. Contract Period: 12 months with potential to extend or convert Pay Rate: Starting form $58 per hour Location: Mississauga, ON Location Type: Hybrid Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core business hours Job Responsibilities:Expertise across all phases of Performance Engineering activities including Requirement Gathering, Planning, Scripting, Execution, Analysis, Troubleshooting, Tuning, and Reporting to evaluate and improve application performanceExperience & Qualification Requirements:Bachelor’s degree required6 years of JMeter – Proficient in developing and executing performance testing scripts and scenarios, with the ability to enhance/customize using advanced scripting techniques experience requiredDynatrace – Strong expertise in deep-dive performance monitoring and analysis, providing actionable insights to diagnose and resolve bottlenecksPerformance Testing – Skilled in defining workload models, simulating production-like scenarios, executing large-scale performance tests, and analysing results to ensure system stability, scalability, and reliabilityNon-Functional Requirements & Architecture – Solid understanding of NFRs, system architecture, and technology stacks to ensure comprehensive performance coveragePerformance Tuning & Optimization – Ability to fine-tune application, database, and infrastructure components for optimal performanceSplunk, Log Analysis & Datadog – Skilled in log-based diagnostics and observability for identifying and resolving complex performance issuesSRE Skillsets – Exposure to Chaos Engineering, Observability, Monitoring production workloads, and contributing towards transition into an SRE roleTest Data & Virtualization – Ability to define test data strategy, collaborate with teams, and develop Virtual Services using Mountebank for performance testingClient-Side & End-User Experience – Experience with tools to measure and enhance end-user performance experienceProven ability to work with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, operations, and business stakeholders to analyse results, recommend optimizations, and drive performance improvementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering measurable performance gainsHow to Apply: If you are a motivated professional looking to contribute to a leading team, please submit your resume outlining your qualifications and experience relevant to this role.
