Job Description: Banking Client This is a 14 months contract with possibility of extension. Hybrid role- 2-3 days/week onsite. The main function of a DevSecOps Specialist is to conceive and write detailed software implementations/code while ensuring that their code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements. Evaluates new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, risk (e.g., security). Supports research and development of development frameworks, and definition of standards. Leads and implements initiatives as required to deliver business objectives. Interacts with key business & technology stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver requirements that reflect the needs of both the business and end-customers. Assesses the costs and benefits for different solutions and recommend/decide on appropriate designs. Designs solutions, writes code, performs unit testing, develops appropriate artefacts / documentation, and facilitates final delivery. Stays abreast of industry technical and business trends through participation in professional associations, practice communities & individual learning Typical Day in Role: - Writing detailed software implementations and code - Ensuring code adheres to security and performance standards - Evaluating new technologies and their impact - Leading initiatives to deliver business objectives - Interacting with stakeholders to define and deliver requirements - Designing solutions, performing unit testing, and documenting deliverables - Staying updated on industry trends through professional development Must-Have Skills: Experience as Integration Engineer in various SDLC stagesProficiency in Shell Scripting and AutomationGood knowledge of UNIX/Linux Server platformsDeep understanding of middleware technologies (WebSphere, HAProxy, IBM HTTP Server, Oracle)Knowledge of required programming languages with ability to code independentlyUnderstanding of technical/business environment and processesUnderstanding of operating systems, development environments, and deployment practices Nice to Have Skills: Experience automating with Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, JSON or industry equivalents Thanks
