Job Description
At Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we're looking for a Product Developer to join our Product Development team, working across three of our brands – ROC, The Trybe and Bobux.
In this role, you will be working across multiple brands and seasonal ranges; you'll combine your technical product knowledge with strong organisation and supplier management skills to help bring commercially relevant, high-quality footwear to market.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you'll play a key role in developing seasonal footwear ranges across ROC, The Trybe and Bobux.
From initial concepts through to production approval, you'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure products meet our quality standards, brand vision and critical path.
The role
Develop seasonal footwear ranges from initial concept through to approved production across ROC, The Trybe and BobuxPrepare seasonal range plans and detailed sample specifications, including colours, leathers, finishes, trims and componentsManage the sampling and development process, ensuring samples are delivered to the required quality and within critical path timelinesReview samples, identify issues and communicate required changes with suppliers and the wider Product Development teamConduct fit sessions and manage the fitting process from initial fit through to production sign-offPrepare and maintain accurate production specifications and product informationWork closely with offshore suppliers and manufacturers to monitor quality, timelines and production requirementsIdentify product or quality issues and work with the Product Development Manager and suppliers to implement practical solutionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partnersCollaborate with internal teams including Buying, Procurement, Marketing and Wholesale to communicate product information and support successful range deliverySupport sustainability initiatives, including identifying opportunities to improve sustainable product development practices
About You
You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys the detail involved in developing footwear and understands what it takes to move a product successfully from an idea through to production.
Previous experience in a Product Development roleFootwear product development experience – highly regardedA strong eye for product and design, with an understanding of current fashion and footwear trendsExperience managing samples, product specifications and production requirementsConfidence working with offshore suppliers and manufacturersStrong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve product and quality issuesExcellent communication, administration and organisational skillsThe ability to manage multiple brands, products and competing seasonal deadlinesA collaborative approach and confidence working across different teams and stakeholdersIntermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
