We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core engineering team.
In this role, you will design, architect, and deliver scalable, high-throughput financial software services while setting technical standards for our growing engineering practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect & Build: Design and implement resilient, low-latency microservices and RESTful APIs using Java 17+ / Java 21+ and the Spring Boot ecosystem.System Design: Build scalable data processing pipelines to handle complex financial calculations, valuation models, and real-time reporting.Database & Storage Management: Optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL) and leverage caching strategies (Redis) for high-performance financial data querying.Cloud & DevOps: Containerize applications using Docker and Kubernetes, configuring CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP).Code Quality & Mentorship: Drive code quality through rigorous code reviews, automated unit/integration testing (JUnit, Testcontainers), and mentor junior/mid-level engineers.Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, financial analysts, and frontend teams to translate business requirements into clean, maintainable architecture.
Required Experience & Qualifications6+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering building enterprise-grade applications.Deep expertise in Java (Java 17/21) and core frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and build systems (Gradle or Maven).Strong Database Fundamentals: Deep proficiency with PostgreSQL, complex SQL queries, index optimization, and transactional management.Microservices Architecture: Practical experience with distributed systems, RESTful API design, domain-driven design (DDD), and asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ).Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), and cloud services (AWS or GCP).Testing Practices: Commitment to write clean, testable code using JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.Communication: Fluency in English (written and spoken) for collaboration and technical documentation.
