Description

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy broad responsibilities, technical ownership, and making a visible impact on complex, high-end computing systems. You will be responsible for developing software applications used to manage and operate advanced rack-scale computing systems. These applications form a key part of the platform used across multiple products within the Embedded Computing Systems Business Line. We are Prodrive Technologies – Embedded Computing Systems Our computing systems are the backbone of cutting-edge applications, delivering performance and reliability where it matters most. Leveraging the latest x86, ARM, and FPGA technologies, we design advanced solutions that power image-processing inspection systems with AI acceleration and real-time computation. Our expertise extends into industrial IoT and automation, driving innovation across semiconductor equipment, medical devices, smart agriculture, and maritime applications. We offer a complete product range to meet diverse needs: single-board computers for embedded control, standalone industrial PCs for edge computing, and rack-level integration including GPU servers, high-speed, low-latency networking and storage for high-performance environments. Our solutions enable scalability and flexibility for any application. About About the role Working closely with software architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams, you will design, implement, and validate application software based on functional requirements and architectural specifications. You will work across the full software stack, developing user-facing functionality in Elm and reliable, high-performance backend services in Rust. Responsibilities This setup provides short communication lines, broad responsibilities, and significant ownership, allowing you to influence technical decisions and see the direct impact of your work on the management and operation of high-end computing systems. You will operate in a challenging, high-tech environment where software, electronics, and mechanics come together to create innovative products and systems. The other responsibilities are: Taking full ownership of software features and subsystems, leading all phases from requirements analysis and design to implementation, testing, and validation, with particular attention to user interaction and usability. Designing, implementing and testing APIs and interfaces between software components, services, and underlying hardware. Contributing to the evolution of a common software platform that can be reused across multiple products. Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, architecture, and technical standards. Collaborating with software, electronics, and system engineers to define, implement and validate integrated solutions. Troubleshooting and resolving complex software and system-level issues across both the application layer and the underlying platform.
