Site Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability, scalability and operational performance of cloud-based services. You will combine software engineering skills with strong knowledge of GCP, Linux, networking and containerised platforms. Location: Manchester, UK Basis: 12-month fixed term contract Key Responsibilities · Engineer and improve reliable, scalable cloud services on GCP. · Use coding and automation to reduce manual operational effort. · Support and troubleshoot Linux and Unix-based systems. · Diagnose issues across applications, infrastructure and networking layers. · Operate and improve containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes. · Contribute to reliability-focused engineering and operational practices. · Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve incidents and prevent recurrence. What We’re Looking For · Strong coding and automation capability. · Hands-on cloud computing experience, particularly GCP. · Strong Linux or Unix systems knowledge. · Good understanding of networking protocols. · Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. · A practical, reliability-focused approach to technical problem-solving.
